During the Beast residency in Bornholm, Denmark (10.3.25 - 31.3.25) I was working with ways of relating the landscapes of Bornholm to traces of childhood and family nostalgia. I was recreating representations of stories told by family members growing up, friends, and memories that weren’t or couldn’t be recorded. This is a new project started during the residency reflecting on what we remember as we age, the traces we leave behind, and relating to unfamiliar spaces.

At the end of the residency, we hosted an open studio where we presented what we had been working on. I presented a screening of a moving image work using 360 video I had captured while on the island, watercolor drawings, as well as an installation.
