The Helsinki International Artists’ Association (HIAA) is excited to celebrate our 2023 edition of HIAA Fest exhibition, to be held at Kaapelitehdas from December 1st to December 3rd, 2023. This event provides a unique opportunity for our talented members to showcase their original works in a dynamic and diverse setting.

2023. Group Exhibition: Water Poems & Liquid Layouts. Väre, Espoo, Finland.

We will reflect on our personal relationship with water and its role in our lives and societies with a more critical perspective. We will write short poems, and then design layouts and drawings inspired by the many forms of water. This is an invitation to visually explore how to communicate water’s flowy, changing, and organic nature.

The international protagonists of the fourth edition of PhygitArt | Vision of the World. Artworks of motion design, glitch and multimedia art enveloped Villa Graziani on 2 and 3 September.

2023: Group Exhibition: Dust Bunnies Group Show I & II (Pinni47). Purkutaidetalo, Tampere, Finland. Festival curated by Teemu Mäenpää. June - July: 7.6-11.6, 19.7-30.7.23.

As a result of the ‘23 RAW exhibition, the organizer and curator of Pinni47, Teemu Mäenpää invited the RAW artists to exhibit in a room on the second floor of Pinni47 in Purkutaidetalo in Tampere, Finland.

Five artists (out of thirteen) from the collective; Mia Huu (Kyllönen), Salla Kuoppamaa, Emily Laakso, Teuta Pashnjari, and Gabriella Presnal - joined together to create a series of solo, duo, and group shows for the duration of the project (7.6-30.7.23) as well as murals (and one photo stand).

Kesäkuun ajan Helsingin Kanneltalon galleriassa on esillä pääkaupunkiseudun 15–25- vuotiaiden nuorten tekemiä teoksia.

Tänä vuonna yhteisnäyttelyn teemana on Polku. Minne polku vie? Mikä polku on? Käänteitä, suuntia, kohteita, valintoja?

Yhteisnäyttely on esillä 3.6.-29.6. Näyttelyyn on vapaa pääsy. Näyttelyn on toteuttanut Helsingin nuorisopalvelut yhteistyössä Kanneltalon kanssa.

Ancestral Futures investigates practices of futuring through care, collectivity and intertwined temporalities as a response to crisis, and as an avenue for dreaming and practicing the otherwise. The selected visual artists include Teo Paaer, Gabriella Presnal and Eirini Tiniakou.

Event is co-curated by Visual Cultures, Curating and Contemporary Art (ViCCA) MA students participating in the Curating from Theory to Practice course.

As sometimes art can be seen as egotistic through its focus on the self, the works aim to find power in the stories and emotions from people tied together by identity and experiences. The Raw exhibition questions; how can one find the collective in oneself, and vice versa? What is the future of art and where is one’s place in it?

Yö Fest is the annual multidisciplinary art festival of Artists’ Association Yö. 3.3.-14.5.2023 Yö Fest vol. 3 will present four group exhibitions, a series of events focusing on the performing arts.

I exhibited two photography prints (Brow & Vroom Vroom). The first was taken of a peer of mine in Tampere, the second shot in Madeira, Portugal while driving in narrow, curvy, mountains. Both works are related to feelings of anxiety and fear.

They screened my video work Alien (2022) alongside 14 other 5-8min video works/films while music students & 1 dance performer from Uniarts impromptu created a performance to the videos.

2021. Pop-up Community-Based Art Project: Creating A City. Helsinki Central Library Oodi, Finland. Organized by Gabriella Presnal. November 1st - November 15th, 2021.

Organized a pop-up art station where people going through the library could draw and write what they imagine or hope our future to be like. This project then turned into a 165x65cm collage.

I exhibited two of the Harmony Hives for this festival. My works were also featured in two local newspapers (Aamulehti & Nokian Uutiset), and one international online magazine.
